Wiliot and CISC Partner to Advance High-Volume Production of Wiliot’s Battery-Free IoT Pixels

August 25, 2026
  • CISC BLE Xplorer testing solution verifies IoT Pixels at speeds of up to 6,500 units per hour, per lane
  • Standardized testing capability simplifies supplier onboarding and helps expand manufacturing capacity for Wiliot’s Physical AI technology

SAN DIEGO (CA) and MOUNTAIN VIEW (CA), U.S.A. – August 25, 2026 – Wiliot, a global leader in Physical AI for supply chains, and CISC Semiconductor, a provider of testing and measurement solutions for wireless identification technologies, today announced a partnership to support the high-volume functional testing of Wiliot’s battery-free IoT Pixels.

CISC has optimized its BLE Xplorer testing solution for Wiliot’s IoT Pixels and integrated the solution with the Wiliot Physical AI platform. The solution can be incorporated into reel-to-reel production equipment or deployed as a dedicated offline tester, giving label and tag manufacturers a standardized testing capability that accommodates a range of production environments.

Testing infrastructure is often one of the most complex elements of establishing a new production line for IoT Pixels, requiring suppliers to develop custom equipment and processes before manufacturing can begin. BLE Xplorer provides a repeatable testing approach that can accelerate supplier onboarding and expand the global manufacturing capacity of Wiliot’s IoT Pixels.

“Demand for Wiliot’s IoT Pixels continues to expand across supply chain, logistics, retail, post-and-parcel, and food and beverage applications,” said Sagi Lindenfeld, Chief Operating Officer, Wiliot. “CISC’s standardized testing solution gives existing and future manufacturing partners a clear, repeatable way to validate IoT Pixels. This capability can accelerate supplier onboarding, reduce custom engineering requirements, and strengthen the manufacturing ecosystem supporting the continued growth of Wiliot’s Physical AI platform.”

On a single-station basis, BLE Xplorer supports testing speeds of up to 6,500 units per hour, per lane – more than four times the approximately 1,500 units per hour supported by a conventional stop-and-go testing station. The system assigns an individual pass-or-fail result to every unit, enabling manufacturers to test 100% of production output.

The BLE Xplorer architecture also provides a path to greater aggregate throughput through the use of multiple testing stations operating in parallel as production volumes and equipment configurations evolve.

The solution conducts a near-field functionality test on IoT Pixels, confirming that each unit is operational and responds correctly. Its interface with the Wiliot Physical AI platform records test results at the unit level, helping manufacturers identify nonfunctioning IoT Pixels before they advance through the production process.

BLE Xplorer connects with new and existing reel-to-reel equipment through trigger lines, serial interfaces, and general-purpose input/output hardware connections. It can synchronize with production machinery, support automated sorting or marking based on test results, and record production data for each unit.

Specialized antenna configurations isolate the unit under test in dense production environments, helping ensure that each result corresponds to the correct IoT Pixels. When testing throughput does not align with the operating speed of conversion machinery, manufacturers can deploy BLE Xplorer as a dedicated offline testing system.

“BLE Xplorer Inline brings comprehensive testing directly into the production process,” said Dr. Markus Pistauer, CEO and Founder, CISC. “Manufacturers can test all IoT Pixels at full line speed, capture clear performance data, and identify performance exceptions immediately. This gives manufacturers a scalable quality-assurance system designed for the production volumes the market now requires.”

Wiliot’s Physical AI platform creates a continuous, scan-free sensing layer across supply chains using battery-free Bluetooth IoT Pixels that harvest energy from ambient radio waves. The platform processes signals using AI and machine learning models, turning granular data on location, temperature, humidity, movement, dwell time, and other conditions into real-time intelligence and automated workflows.

Expanded production capacity for IoT Pixels will support broader deployment of Wiliot applications including Inventory Intelligence, Automated Receiving, Automated Shipment Verification, Reusable Asset Tracking, and Temperature Monitoring.

Across retail, grocery, food and beverage, post-and-parcel, logistics, and transportation, these applications help organizations improve inventory accuracy, protect sensitive products, optimize reusable assets, automate workflows, and reduce waste.

CISC will begin pre-sales for BLE Xplorer in September 2026. The solution will debut at LOUPE Americas 2026 in Chicago in September, with first customer deliveries scheduled for the end of Q3-2026.
